January, 2009: We believe that one day the Santa Lucia Highlands will be recognized as one of the world’s very best regions for Syrah production. The cool climate and granitic soils combine to produce balanced Syrahs with great peppery complexity and fine rocky detail. In 2006, Fairview Ranch produced a Syrah of wonderful complexity, sleek proportions and refreshing acidity. We feel that this is our best Syrah produced to date. Drink / Hold.
